The Brookings Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz, completed June 8, 2008, was a true accomplishment for the Brookings Habitat for Humanity and the community of Brookings. This project involved the challenge of completing a house in a one week's time. Members of the Brookings Home Builders Association were a national model for building this home for a deserving family in a one week period. Over 20 contractors were willing to donate their time, talents and materials to achieve this extraordinary goal! The outstanding family that received this gift was Cody Hartman and Kaci Cecil. Also, Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity filmed a DVD of this project that will be used nationally throughout the coming years! Thank you to all who participated!
