Thank You to the College of Family & Consumer Sciences!

The College of Family & Consumer Science staff and students put together several special events and gave the proceeds to the Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity.

These gifts were donated and collected by the Brookings Elks Club for all the children of the 2008 home builds. Each child received 3-4 gifts of items that they requested and needed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Established in 1995 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people from all walks of life to build decent, affordable homes for families in need.

 Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity (BAHFH) is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that works to eliminate substandard housing in the Brookings County area.
BAHFH welcomes partners from any faith who are willing to pick up a hammer to help improve the lives of families needing decent shelter.

 

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) , based in Americus, Georgia, is an ecumenical Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing. By the end of 2005, Habitat will have built its 200,000th house, and more than one million people will be living in Habitat homes they helped build and are buying through no-profit, zero-interest mortgages. Habitat is a worldwide, grass-roots movement with more than 2,100 affiliates in 100 countries, including all 50 states of the United States.
