When you make a donation to the Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity, you make it possible for a local family to achieve the dream of home ownership. At last the family will have a suitable place to sleep at night, a quiet room where their children can study, and a sanitary kitchen and bathroom. Most importantly, the family will have a place in which to plan and build a brighter future.

But your gift hasn't been spent. It has been invested in our community. Habitat partner families are given no-interest mortgages which they re-pay, so your gift will be used again to help another family. And they will repay it. And it will be used again someday to help another family, and another, and another.

Your donations to Habitat never leave Brookings. They'll be here years from now helping local families in need of simple, decent, affordable homes.

Car donations to Habitat's Cars for Homes™ program help your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter within your community.

It is quick and easy to donate a car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, construction equipment or other automobile, and your vehicle donation may be eligible for tax deduction purposes if you itemize. (Consult the IRS or your tax adviser for details.)
